Leading up to “Turn of Phrase” Stephen built me a 15” archtop. Rather than looking to replace or upgrade the neck-thru, we decided to treat it as a new and different, primarily acoustic instrument. With longer scale length and heaver strings, the guitar offers me a new palette of sounds.

I feature the archtop on the solo and duo tracks of the CD, and look forward to exploring the new ideas and techniques that this guitar inspires.
